In today’s fast-paced world, founders truly benefit from carving out a space for deep work. If you haven't already, I highly recommend reading "Deep Work" – it's a game-changer. To facilitate this level of focus, sometimes it’s necessary to step away from the daily hustle.
Recently, I took a brief getaway to Da-Nang for a weekend reset. It’s a blessing to have new team members, and I knew we’d get quality time together, but the primary allure was the solitude and the ability to immerse myself in my work. Nestled in a quaint co-working space called Tung, located within the Wing hotel, the environment provided an ideally serene setting. Perched on the 20th floor, the view was stunning, and the space was perfectly quiet, conducive to undisturbed concentration.
Such an escape afforded me the opportunity to dive deeply into several crucial tasks – from completing the accounting work and sending out invoices to crafting a new automation and setting up marketing systems for a fresh client. This level of focus is often unattainable amidst the usual distractions, no matter how wonderful friends, family, teammates, and even our beloved pets are.
It's pivotal for founders to find such peaceful sanctuaries. By creating intentional breaks for deep work, we shield ourselves from interruptions, enabling substantial progress in our ventures. Consider taking a brief retreat; the clarity and productivity you’ll gain are well worth it. Ultimately, maintaining this balance is not just about getting things done, but aligning our efforts with a clear, technology-driven path to success.
